The site consists of eight buildings which house laboratories, clinical and commercial manufacturing suites, purification and support areas, and a clinical drug product manufacturing facility. One of Andover's buildings is approved as a multi-product facility, allowing clinical and commercial products to be manufactured simultaneously.

In 2007, Andover became the first biotechnology facility in New England to receive the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program certification for its work in building a culture of safety.
